MANAGEMENT OF THE WORLD DIRECTORY OF PLANT PATHOLOGISTS, PROMOTION OF EVENTS SUPPORTING GLOBAL FOOD SECURITY THROUGH PLANT HEALTH, AND ORGANIZATION OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGS CONDUCTED ONLINE.


ISPP HAS AMONG ITS GOALS PROMOTING THE IDEA OF COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION WITH PLANT PATHOLOGISTS GLOBALLY. THE MONEY RAISED FOR THE ISPP RESILIENCY BURSARY ACCEPTED THROUGH THE DONATIONS FROM ITS MEMBERS WERE DISTRIBUTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATUTE AND WITHIN THE SCOPE OF U.S AND POLISH LAW. THE SUPPORT COVERED EVERYDAY EXPENSES OF UKRAINIAN RESEARCHERS ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER LIVING COSTS). USING THIS FUND, PRIMARILY ISPP THROUGH THE POLISH PHYTOPATHOLOGICAL SOCIETY (PPS) SUPPORTED: 1) PLANT PATHOLOGISTS, 2) BIOLOGISTS/AGRONOMISTS WORKING IN POLISH TEAMS ON TOPICS CONNECTED WITH PLANT PATHOLOGY AND 3) RESEARCHERS/STUDENTS WORKING ON TOPICS RELATED TO THIS FIELD. THE FUNDS FOR EXPERIMENTAL WORK WERE PROVIDED BY POLISH LABORATORIES. THE SELECTION OF RESEARCHERS WAS BASED ON IDENTIFIED NEED OF REFUGEE SCIENTISTS BY MEMBERS OF PPS AND THEN REVIEWED BY THE ISPP EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE BEFORE APPROVAL. THE RESEARCH CONDUCTED BY THE SCIENTISTS FUNDED THROUGH THE PROGRAM WAS HIGHLIGHTED IN ISPP NEWSLETTER ROUTINELY TO UPDATE ALL ISPP MEMBERS GLOBALLY.
