THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES ACCREDITATION SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 1,059 ORGANIZATIONS BOTH IN NORTH AMERICA (U.S. AND CANADA) AND IN 48 OTHER GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS. APPROXMIATELY 689 INSTITUTIONS ARE IN NORTH AMERICA, 113 INSTITUTIONS IN EUROPE, 12 INSTITUTIONS IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN, 15 INSTITUTIONS IN AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST, AND 230 INSTITUTIONS IN THE PACIFIC REGION. THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS TRIENNIAL SITE VISITS OF APPROXIMATELY ONE THIRD OF THE TOTAL INSTITUTIONS ANNUALLY OR ABOUT 353 INSTITUTIONS PER YEAR.
