UNITED WAY REGIONAL VOLUNTEER CENTER MATCHES NORTHWEST INDIANA RESIDENTS WITH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE REGION. NORTHWEST INDIANA AMERICORPS PROGRAM HAS BEEN A UWPC PROGRAM SINCE 2007. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES CRITICAL SUPPORT SERVICES BY PROVIDING K-12 ACADEMIC TUTORS/MENTORS TO SCHOOLS AND VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT MANAGEMENT PERSON FOR NONPROFITS.
