TO DEVELOP CAREER PATHWAYS FOR IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES TO ENTER OR REENTER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS IN THE U.S. AND TO WORK WITH EDUCATORS AND EMPLOYERS TO QUALIFY ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS FOR HEALTHCARE JOBS.

IN FY22-23, DHTI'S HEALTH CAREER PATHWAYS PROGRAM CONTINUED SERVING INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (IDD) BY TRAINING BILINGUAL AND CULTURALLY COMPETENT WORKFORCE TO ENTER THE RESPITE CARE AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING COHORTS. WE EXPANDED INTO SAN FRANCISCO AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES AND TRAINED OVER 47 PARTICIPANTS INTO RESPITE CARE TRAINING. WE REACHED MORE THAN 200 ASIAN-LANGUAGE SPEAKING INDIVIDUALS TO LEARN ABOUT IDD SERVICES TO TARGET THIS UNDER-SERVED DISPARITY GROUP. WE ALSO PILOTED OUR FIRST ANGEL CAREGIVERS PROJECT TO TRAIN 50+ IMMIGRANT PARTICIPANTS TO RECEIVE FREE CA RECOGNIZED CAREGIVER TRAINING AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF CAREGIVING SERVICES FOR THE SENIOR AND DISABLED POPULATION. IN ADDITION, UNDER DHTI'S COMMUNITY WELLNESS PROGRAM, WE CONTINUE TO SERVE THE MIDDLE EASTERN AND NORTH AFRICAN (MENA) POPULATION WITH ACCESS TO COMMUNITY WELLNESS ACTIVITIES AND PREVENTATIVE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.
