Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

OUR FOUNDATION RUNS THREE KEY PROGRAMS TO HELP FEED THOSE IN NEED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. EVERY MONTH, WE HOST A COMMUNITY GIVEAWAY AT THE CHURCH, DISTRIBUTING AN AVERAGE OF 30,000 POUNDS OF GROCERIES, PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS, AND HOUSEHOLD CLEANING PRODUCTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. DURING THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY, WE PROVIDE BETWEEN 15,000 TO 20,000 HOT MEALS TO THOSE WHO ARE HUNGRY, OFFERING NOT ONLY FOOD BUT ALSO A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT. AT CHRISTMAS, WE FOCUS ON SENIORS BY DELIVERING FOOD BASKETS TO 3-4 SENIOR LIVING SITES AND COMMUNITY CENTERS, ENSURING THEY RECEIVE GROCERIES AND FEEL APPRECIATED DURING THE FESTIVE SEASON. THESE PROGRAMS ARE VITAL TO OUR MISSION OF COMBATING HUNGER AND SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY.

WE EMPOWER YOUTH AND ADULTS BY OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS AIMED AT FOSTERING EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. EACH YEAR, WE SELECT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OR INDIVIDUALS WORKING IN CRITICAL PROFESSIONS THAT PROVIDE ESSENTIAL SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THEIR CONTINUED GROWTH, HELPING THEM ACHIEVE THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER GOALS WHILE MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY.

THE LFPA PROGRAM PROVIDES VITAL NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT TO SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN AT MATCHBOOK LEARNING AT WENDELL PHILLIPS 63 BY OFFERING BREAKFAST PACKS AND DINNER MEALS. THIS INITIATIVE ENSURES THAT STUDENTS RECEIVE THE NOURISHMENT THEY NEED TO THRIVE BOTH ACADEMICALLY AND PHYSICALLY, ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY AND PROMOTING OVERALL WELL-BEING WITHIN THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY.
