DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 06/30/2021, 1,818,127 MEALS WERE PREPARED USING RESCUED FOOD, FOOD PURCHASED FROM SATELLITE KITCHENS AND DONATIONS FROM INDIANA HOMELAND SECURITY. THESE MEALS ARE DONATED TO OVER 154 501(C)(3) AGENCIES SERVING CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
SECOND HELPINGS UTILIZES THE RESCUED FOOD TO TRAIN ADULTS FOR JOB PLACEMENT IN THE CULINARY FOOD INDUSTRY. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 06/30/2021, 8 CLASSES GRADUATED WITH A TOTAL OF 23 INDIVIDUAL GRADUATES. 13 PEOPLE WERE PLACED IN JOBS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.
THE ORGANIZATION RESCUED 3,591,165 POUNDS OF FOOD FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 06/30/2021. THE FOOD WAS USED TO FEED CHILDREN, ADULTS AND SENIORS THROUGH OTHER SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES, AND FOR JOB TRAINING IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY.
