ACCESSABILITY CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING, INC WAS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE COUNSELING, TRAINING, AND ADVOCACY SERVICES WHICH ASSIST PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY TO LIVE AND FUNCTION INDEPENDENTLY.

MAJOR SERVICE PROGRAMS IN THE ORGANIZATION'S 8 COUNTY SERVICE AREA INCLUDE: INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS TRAINING, HOUSING AND HOME MODIFICATION SERVICES, PEER COUNSELING, TRANSITION FROM NURSING HOMES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS, YOUTH TRANSITION, AND SYSTEMIC ADVOCACY. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED SERVICES TO OVER 295 CONSUMERS, OF WHICH 168 WERE UNDER THE AGE OF 60 YEARS OLD, 127 WERE OVER THE AGE OF 60, 191 WERE FEMALE, AND 104 WERE MALE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDED INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES TO OVER 3,980 CONSUMERS.
