EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - BEST OF THE BATCH FOUNDATION HAS SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDING BEST OF THE BATCH CLUB, DIGNITY & RESPECT FOR YOUTH, READING & COMPUTER LITERACY, SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS PROGRAM AND CLUBHOUSE CORNER.


BATCHPACKS FOR KIDS - BATCHPACKS FOR KIDS IS OUR BACK-TO-SCHOOL INITIATIVE TO PREPARE THE STUDENTS TO BEGIN THE SCHOOL YEAR. IN ADDITION TO A BATCHPACK, SCHOOL SUPPLIES ARE ALSO HANDED OUT TO STUDENTS IN LOCAL SCHOOLS. OVER 5,000 BATCHPACKS HAVE BEEN GIVEN OUT SINCE THE PROGRAM HAS STARTED. THE STUDENTS ALSO HAVE THE OPTION TO DONATE BACK THEIR BATCHPACK ONCE THEY ARE DONE USING IT TO HELP OTHERS IN NEED.


BATCH-A TOYS - THE BATCH-A TOYS IS A SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY PROGRAM WHERE THE FOUNDATION ADOPTS 100 ALLEGHENY COUNTY FAMILIES AND PROVIDES TOYS AND ESSENTIAL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS. MORE THAN 6,000 TOYS AND HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS ARE DONATED AND WRAPPED BY MORE THAN 225 VOLUNTEERS AT AN ANNUAL WRAPPING PARTY. THE GIFTS ARE PERSONALLY DELIVERED BY CHARLIE, LATASHA AND SEVERAL VOLUNTEERS ALONG WITH CHRISTMAS DINNER ON CHRISTMAS EVE.
