THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SPONSORS AND RUNS THE COLUMBIANA 4TH OF JULY COMMUNITY CELEBRATION AND FIREWORKS. IT IS A FULL DAY OF ACTIVITIES IN OUR COMMUNITY PARK TO PROMOTE OUR COMMUNITY AND GIVE IT A WHOLESOME FAMILY ACTIVITY. WE RAISE SPONSORSHIPS AND SOLICIT DONATIONS TO FUND THIS PROJECT.
THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PROVIDES FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES A SAFETY COUNCIL PROGRAM, IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE OHIO BUREAU OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION. THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN THIS SAFETY COUNCIL, LOCAL BUSINESSES RECEIVE A DISCOUNTED BWC RATE THAT ENCOURAGES SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE.
THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE WHOSE EXPRESS PURPOSE IS TO ENCOURAGE NEW DEVELOPMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE MAIN ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THIS COMMITTEE WAS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A VIDEO TO HIGHLIGHT THE ADVANTAGES OF OUR COMMUNITY TO POTENTIAL NEW BUSINESSES, OR TO ENTREPRENEURS.
