EQUICENTER IS CELEBRATING ITS SEVENTEENTH YEAR OF PROVIDING VITAL THERAPEUTIC EQUINE PROGRAMS TO PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, AT RISK YOUTH, VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE GREATER ROCHESTER COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING AREAS. EQUICENTER'S PROGRAMS ADDRESS PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, NEUROLOGICAL AND COGNITIVE CHALLENGES, VARIOUS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, AND CHALLENGING LIFE CIRCUMSTANCE. THE EQUICENTER SERVES CHILDREN AND ADULTS FACING MANY DIFFERENT CHALLENGES SUCH AS, AUTISM, ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER (ADD), ATTENTION DEFICIT AND HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD), CEREBRALPALSY, SPINA BIFIDA, HYPOTONIA, VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS, DOWN SYNDROME, DEAFNESS, HEMIPLEGIA, SPASTIC PARALEGIA, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, EPILEPSY, STROKE, TRAUMATIC BRAIN AND SPINAL INJURIES, AND POST TRAUMATIC STRESS (PTS).
