1. TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ABOUT INDIA AND ITS NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES, AND OF ITS PEOPLE AND THEIR CULTURE, HERITAGE, AND NEEDS2. TO ENHANCE INDIAN CULTURE AND HERITAGE INFORMATION CENTER, LIBRARIES, AND EXCHANGE PROGRAMS.3. TO FOSTER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES OF INDIAN DESCENT AND THEIR FRIENDS BY MAKING GRANTS AND LOAN FUNDS AS APPROVED BY THE FINANCE COMMITTEE, ESTABLISHING SCHOLARSHIPS, OR BY MAKING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUAL TO DEFRAY THEIR EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES.4. TO UNDERTAKE RELIEF AND WELFARE OF NEEDY FAMILIES OF INDIAN DESCENT AND THEIR FRIENDS EITHER DIRECTLY OR BY MAKING GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS5. PROMOTE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH BY MEANS OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS, INSTITUTIONS, AND ORGANIZATIONS6. TO ORGANIZE OTHER PROGRAMS THAT ARE EXCLUSIVELY FOR SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL, LITERARY, CHARITABLE PURPOSES.7.
