Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

1) CONTINUED OUR 3 YEAR (2020 THROUGH 2022) PLAN WITH THE SANFORD CENTER COMMUNITY SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAM TO HIRE AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 5 OUTREACH WORKERS IN THE SIOUX CITY SCHOOLS OVER THE NEXT 3 TO 5 YEARS, DEPENDING ON FUNDS RAISED. THE PROGRAM IN THE PAST EMPLOYED 10 OUTREACH WORKERS TO COVER 10 SCHOOLS, BUT DUE TO COUNTY BUDGET CUTS, THE PROGRAM NOW HAD ONLY 5 IN 2019. WE HAVE NOW RAISED FUNDS OF $45,000 AND ADDED 1 WORKER IN 2020 IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.WE RAISED ANOTHER $30,000 IN 2021 TO HIRE ANOTHER ADDITIONAL WORKER FOR A MIDDLE SCHOOL AND CONTINUE TO WORK TO ADD TO THAT FOR THE MIDDLE SCHOOL WORKER. ONE CASE WORKER CARRIES A CASELOAD OF 30 HIGH RISK CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, SO WE ESTIMATE THAT THEY WOULD DIRECTLY IMPACT OVER 100 PEOPLE. IN ADDITION, THIS DIVERSE GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS HELP THE SCHOOLS TO HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON SCHOOL CLIMATE AND HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN OUR ANTI BULLYING AND ANTI- VIOLENCE PROGRAMS.

2) CONTINUED TO WORK WITH THE FILM TEAM ON COMPLETION OF THE UPCOMING DOCUMENTARY "THIS IS THE HOUSE WHERE I LEARNED NOT TO SLEEP". THE EMMY WINNING FILM TEAM HAS NOW JUST COMPLETED A ROUGH CUT TO BE PRESENTED AT A NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CONFERENCE IN DALLAS IN MAY 2022. WIVP GRANTED $37,500 TO THE FILM PROJECT AND WERE ABLE TO GET THE FILM TO COMPLETION. THE FILM WILL BE ENTERED INTO UPCOMING FILM FESTIVALS, MOST LIKELY BEGINNING SUMMER 2022 TO WINTER 2023. ALL OTHER WIVP FILMS HAVE PREMIERED AT TRIBECA AND SUNDANCE, ALL WERE BOUGHT BY NETWORKS. TWO WERE EMMY NOMINATED, AND ONE EARNED A PEABODY AWARD.

WE FEEL OUR 4TH FILM WILL BE A KEY PART OF OUR 20 YEAR STRATEGY TO ENGAGE MEN IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THE FILM IS THROUGH THE LENS OF AN ADULT MALE SURVIVOR OF CHILDHOOD DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, WHO THEN BECAME A POLICE OFFICER AND NOW TRAINS POLICE DEPARTMENTS NATIONWIDE. WE EXPECT A WIDE AUDIENCE AND MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO TRAIN ADVOCATES, MEN IN BATTERING PREVENTION PROGRAMS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, JUDICIAL AND COMMUNITIES WHO LOOK TO HAVE A COMMUNITY WIDE RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THE OTHER FILMS WE HAVE DONE WERE SEEN BY MILLIONS THROUGH NETWORKS, SCHOOL SHOWINGS AND COMMUNITY TRAININGS, SO WE EXPECT A LARGE AUDIENCE FOR THIS.
