TO IDENTIFY, ACQUIRE, AND PRESERVE ENDANGERED HISTORIC AND BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES OF CULTURAL IMPORTANCE TO THE MEMBERS/TRIBES OF THE NATIVE AMERICAN LAND CONSERVANCY, TO OTHER NEIGHBORING TRIBAL GROUP, AND TO COMMUNITIES IN CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA,NEVADA AND UTAH. THE NATIVE AMERICAN LAND CONSERVANCY IS COMMITTED TO MANAGING THESE LANDSCAPES IN A MANNER THAT PRESERVES THEIR INTEGRITY AND PROMOTES AN UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR VALUES IN PART THROUGH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND PROGRAMING TO THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY AND TO THE PUBLIC. THE NALC ALSO EDUCATES NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE LAND IN TRIBAL CULTURES.
