THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE ACTIVITIES OF THE OREGON FALLEN BADGE FOUNDATION WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OREGON TO ENSURE THAT FALLEN OFFICERS ARE GIVEN THE FULL HONORS TO WHICH THEY ARE ENTITLED, RESPONDING TO ANY OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY'S REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE IN PLANNING AND COORDINATING LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL SERVICES, MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST ORDER OF HONOR, TRADITION AND CEREMONY WITHIN THE GREATER LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY, PROVIDING THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF TRIBUTE AND HONOR TO FALLEN OFFICERS, ESTABLISHING PROTOCOL THAT FITS WITHIN ESTABLISHED MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT CEREMONIAL STANDARDS FOR MEMORIAL SERVICES, ANSWERING QUESTIONS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF HONOR GUARD UNITS AND THEIR ROLES IN POLICING, EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT TRADITIONS AND DECORUM OF LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS, AND PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THE SURVIVORS AND FAMILIES OF LAW E

GOLF TOURNAMENT: THIS WILL BE AN ANNUAL FUNDRAISING AND EDUCATIONAL EVENT. WE INTEND TO RAISE FUNDS WITH ADMISSION FEES, FOOD, BEVERAGE SALES, HOLE SPONSORSHIPS, SILENT AUCTION AND DONATIONS. THIS EVENT WILL ENCOURAGE AND FOSTER THE GOALS OF THE FOUNDATION OF HONOR, TRADITION AND CEREMONY WITHIN THE OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY DURING THE EVENT. DIRECT SOLICITATION: THE BOARD MEMBERS WILL DIRECTLY SOLICIT BUSINESSES, ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT WITHIN THE STATE OF OREGON. THE BUSINESSES THAT DIRECTLY BENEFIT FROM RELATIONSHIPS WITH OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND INDIVIDUALS WILL BE TARGETED. LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL BE TARGETED. ALL LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE WILL BE TARGETED FOR DONATIONS. BANQUET/AUCTION: THIS WILL BE AN ANNUAL FUND RAISING AND EDUCATION EVENT, AS PRACTICAL. WE INTEND TO RAISE FUNDS WITH SEAT SALES, TABLE SPONSORSHIPS AND AUCTION SALES. THIS EVENT WILL ENCOURAGE AND FOSTER THE GOALS OF THE FOUNDATION OF HONOR, TRADITION AND CEREMONY WITHIN THE OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY DURING THE EVENT. MESS DINNER & HONOR GUARD TRAINING: THESE EVENTS ARE HELD OCCASSIONALY AS AN ADDITIONAL WAY OF ENCOURAGNG THE GOALS OF THE FOUNDATION OF HONOR, TRADITION AND CEREMONY WITHIN THE OREGON LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY DURING THE EVENT.


SUPPORT OF FALLEN OFFICER'S FAMILIES FOR BURIAL SERVICES. ACCOUNTS WERE SETUP AT LOCAL BANKS FOR COMMUNITY TO CONTRIBUTE DIRECTLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF A FALLEN OFFICER FAMILY. THE FOUNDATION WAS THE CLEARING CHARITY FOR THESE DONATIONS AND THE AMOUNTS ARE TRACKED IN A SEPARATE ESCROW ACCOUNT. IN PRIOR YEARS THESE AMOUNTS WERE SHOWN AS INCOME AND EXPENSE BUT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 6/30/21 THE AMOUNTS ARE NOW JUST SHOWN AS A LIABILITY AND NOT INCOME/EXPENSE OF THE FOUNDATION AS IT IS A PASS THROUGH.
