WHAT IS THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE?THIS IS RBF DOME'S 20TH YEAR AS AN ESTABLISHED 501(C)(3)ORGANIZATION. PRIMARILY, RBF DOME'S MISSION IS THE RECOGNITION AND PRESERVATION OF THE FULLER DOME PROPERTY AT 407 SOUTH FOREST AVENUE, CARBONDALE IL AS AN IMPORTANT HISTORICAL ARTIFACT THAT REFLECTS THE REVOLUTIONARY THINKING OF ITS DESIGNER AND INITIAL INHABITANT, R. BUCKMINSTER FULLER AND HIS WIFE, ANNE HEWLETT FULLER. THIS PROPERTY WAS DONATED TO THE ORGANIZATION ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2002. SECONDLY, THE MISSION IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT FULLER BY CREATING A HOME MUSEUM AT THE RESTORED DOME PROPERTY. FULLERS PHILOSOPHIES AND TEACHINGS WILL BE ABLE TO BE EXPLORED, AT THE ONLY DOME HE EVER LIVED IN, THROUGH THE USE OF TOOLS, TOYS, AND MODELS.
