AMERICAN LEGION POST 318 IS COMMITTED TO THE SUPPORT OF VETERANS, ACTIVE MILITARY, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THE ANDERSON TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY. IT ALSO PRESERVES AND PERPETUATES PATRIOTISM FOR OUR NATION.

PROVIDE, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN A MEETING FACILITY FOR LOCAL VETERANS (MEMBERS). TO MEET THE EXEMPT PURPOSE, AMERICAN LEGION-ANDERSON POST 318 OWNS AND OPERATES A LOCAL MEETING HALL (REFERRED TO AS THE POST). TO GENERATE MONEY NEEDED TO PAY THE MORTGAGE, OPERATING EXPENSES, TAXES, GOVERNMENT FEES AND MAINTENANCE EXPENSES, THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS BINGO SESSIONS, FISH FRY'S, DINNER/DANCES, CONCERTS AND OTHER EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.


PROVIDED VOLUNTEERS TO WORK FUND RAISING PROJECTS SPONSORED BY AMERICAN LEGION POST 318 CHARITIES, INC., A 501(C)3 TO SUPPORT CHARITABLE GIVING ASSOCIATED WITH VETERANS AND LOCAL COMMUNITY PROGRAMS (I.E. WOUNDED WARRIORS, USO, HONOR FLIGHTS, COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE CHILDREN OF VETERANS, AMERICAN LEGION POST 318 ALSO CONDUCTS BINGO ON A REGULAR BASIS, AND IS REQUIRED BY OHIO STATUES TO CONTRIBUTE 25% OF THE TYPE II BINGO PROCEEDS TO FUND APPROVED PROGRAMS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 318.
