ALTRIA COMPANIES EMPLOYEE COMMUNITY FUND (ACECF) WAS FOUNDED IN 2000 BECAUSE EMPLOYEES WANTED TO BE MORE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN HELPING LOCAL COMMUNITIES. EMPLOYEES CHOSE THE FUND'S FOCUS AREAS AND NOMINATED ORGANIZATIONS TO APPLY FOR SUPPORT, AND AN EMPLOYEE COMMITTEE SELECTED THE GRANT RECIPIENTS.BEGINNING IN 2019, EMPLOYEES FUNDS BEGAN TO BE DIRECTLY SENT TO TO AMERICAN ONLINE GIVING FOUNDATION, A NATIONAL 501(C)(3).
