CITIZEN FORESTRY. PILOT PROJECT WITH THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU IN A COMMUNITY FOREST PROJECT. THE ORGANIZATION HELPED THE CITY ENGAGE WITH CITIZENS TO ADOPT STREETTREES IN FRONT OF THEIR HOMES IN KAILUA. PROVIDED VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO DISADVANTAGED YOUTH THROUGH KUPU HAWAII.


KAULUNANI URBAN AND COMMUNITY FORESTRY PROGRAM: FHUF OPERATED THIS PROGRAM FOR THE STATE OF HAWAII UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE US FORESTR4Y SERVICE.


STP WORKED WIAT A GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL URBAN AND COMMUNITY FORESTRY ADVISORY COUNCIL (NUCFAC), IN WHICH WE WORKED WITH A UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII PROFESSOR TO EMPLOY DEEP LEARNING MACHINE INTELLIGENT ALGORITHM TECHNOLOGY TO IDENTIFY TREE SPECIES FROM AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS.
