IN ADDITION TO THE COLLECTIONS AND EXHIBITIONS, THE LIBRARY & GARDENS HOSTS A VARIETY OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EVENTS INCLUDING OUTDOOR SCULPTURE DISPLAYS, CONCERTS, HORTICULTURALLY THEMED DINNERS, COMMUNITY MEETINGS, EDUCATIONAL AND WELLNESS CLASSES, LECTURES, CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS, GARDEN TOURS AND FESTIVALS.

SHERMAN GARDENS HAD 99,941 VISITORS. THE SHERMAN GARDENS VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION AND DOCENTS WORKED 8,019 AND 2,663 HOURS, RESPECTIVELY.


SHERMAN LIBRARY HAD 5,030 VISITORS AND OUR STAFF ASSISTED 12,415 REQUESTS BY SERIOUS RESEARCHERS IN THEIR STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF THE PACIFIC SOUTHWEST, WHICH IS THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE LIBRARY. VOLUNTEERS WORKED OVER 266 HOURS AT THE LIBRARY.
