TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND RESOURCES TO THE CITIZENS OF NOBLE COUNTY AND TO PROVIDE SAFE, RESPONSIVE AND EFFICIENT TRANSPORTATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

NOBLE TRANSIT SYSTEM (NTS) IS A PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AGENCY SERVING NOBLE COUNTY. MOST OF THE 20 VEHICLES ARE WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE. NOBLE TRANSIT PROVIDES THE RESERVATIONS, SCHEDULING AND OPERATION OF THIS SERVICE. DRIVERS ARE THOROUGHLY TRAINED IN SAFETY AND PASSENGER ASSISTANCE. DURING 2022 25,568 RIDES WERE PROVIDED.


THE SENIOR CENTER PROVIDES ASSISTANCE IN HELPING SOLVE TRANSITIONAL AGING QUESTIONS AND PROBLEMS THROUGH PAMPHLETS, AGENCY REFERRALS, OR PERSONAL CONTACT WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES OF NOBLE COUNTY. AT THE CENTER INDIVIDUALS CAN GET ASSISTANCE WITH MEDICAL AND HEALTH INSURANCE FROM VOLUNTEER TRAINED BY SHIP. THE CENTER ALSO PROVIDES TRIPS FOR SENIORS AS WELL AS OTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO INTERACT WITH OTHER SENIORS.
