RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT ON BIOLOGICALLY INSPIRED ENGINEERING FOCUSED ON BIOLOGICAL CONTROL, LIVING MATERIAL, AND BIOLOGY. THE INSTITUTE CONDUCTS ITS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES USING FOCUS AREAS TO CREATE NEW BIOINSPIRED MATERIALS AND DEVICES, AND TO TRANSLATE THEM INTO PRODUCTS. THE FOCUS AREAS INCLUDE: BIOINSPIRED THERAPEUTICS AND DIAGNOSTICS, DIAGNOSTICS ACCELERATOR, IMMUNO-MATERIALS, LIVING CELLULAR DEVICES, MOLECULAR ROBOTICS, 3D ORGAN ENGINEERING, AND SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY.
