TO LEAD THE COMMUNITY IN A PARTNERSHIP THAT BUILDS AND SUSTAINS QUALITY AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS.

COLLECTIVE FOR YOUTH ENGAGES WITH AFTER SCHOOL PROVIDERS ON BUILDING A COMMUNITY WIDE SYSTEM THAT SUPPORTS QUALITY STANDARDS, USE OF RELIABLE DATA, AND ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR STAFF. COLLECTIVE FOR YOUTH ALSO FOCUSES ON BUILDING COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS TO PROVIDE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS TO SEVEN MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN OMAHA PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM SERVED OVER 4,500 STUDENTS AT LEAST 200 DAYS OUT OF THE CALENDAR YEAR. PROGRAMS ARE HIGH QUALITY EXPERIENCES THAT FOCUS ON ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES FOR YOUTH. YOUTH THAT ATTEND REGULARLY IMPROVE THEIR GRADES, SCHOOL ATTENDANCE, AND HAVE LESS NEGATIVE BEHAVIORS.
