PUBLIC EDUCATION, OUTREACH, AND VOLUNTEERING - BIKE THE US FOR MS ORGANIZES FIVE ROUTES ACROSS AMERICA. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, OUR ROUTES WERE AGAIN LIMITED THIS YEAR. OUR WEEK-LONG BLUE RIDGE RIDE WAS ABLE TO RIDE AND VOLUNTEER FOR INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MS ACROSS VIRGINIA, COMPLETING SERVICE PROJECTS FOR THOSE LIVING WITH MS, RAISING AWARENESS FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND EDUCATING COMMUNITIES IN PERSON WHILE ON THE ROAD, HOWEVER, MUCH OF THE PUBLIC OUTREACH AND EDUCATION WENT DIGITAL DUE TO COVID.
DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT - GRANTS ARE GIVEN TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MS BY FUNDING RAMPS, BATHROOMS, LIFTS, RAILINGS, GRAB BARS, AND OTHER ASSISTIVE EQUIPMENT AND PROJECTS THAT FACILITATE IMPROVED AND INDEPENDENT LIVING AND IMPROVED SUPPORT NETWORKS. THESE PROJECTS SEEK TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND SAFETY OF INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MS ACROSS AMERICA AND THE UK.
