TO PROVIDE SHELTER AND MEDICAL CARE TO ANIMALS WHO WERE STRAY, ABANDONED, AND SURRENDERED TO LOCAL SHELTERS AND AT GREAT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA; WITH THE PURPOSE OF FINDING PERMANENT ADOPTIVE HOMES, TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GREATER COMMUNITY'S EFFORT TO REDUCE OVERPOPULATION BY PROVIDING TRAP-NEUTER-RELEASE OPPORTUNITIES, TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT AND LOVING SANCTUARY TO FELINES WHO MAY NOT THRIVE IN A NORMAL HOME ENVIRONMENT, AND TO PROVIDE EDUCATION REGARDING RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO BEING A PET PARENT.

ADOPTIONS AND TNR/COLONY CARE: REMOVE ANIMALS FROM SHELTERS WHO ARE AT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA AS WELL AS FROM THE COMMUNITY, PLACE IN FOSTER HOMES FOR COMPLETE VETTING (ALTER, VACCINES, MICROCHIPPING, VETERINARY CARE, DEWORMING). WHEN READY, PLACE FOR ADOPTION AND FIND SUITABLE FOREVER HOMES. DURING 2021, THE ORGANIZATION TOOK IN OVER 1,800 ANIMALS AND PLACE 1,450 INTO ADOPTIVE HOMES. SAVING ONE LIFE PARTICIPATES IN THE GREATER COMMUNITY'S EFFORT TO REDUCE OVERPOPULATION BY PROVIDING TNR (TRAP-NEUTER-RELEASE) OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS TO PROVIDE FOOD TO COLONIES OF FERAL CATS. IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION TNR'D OVER 250 CATS.
TAILS OF HOPE - SAVING ONE LIFE IS A TRULY NO KILL ORGANIZATION. EUTHANASIA IS ONLY DONE WHEN MEDICALLY NECESSARY TO END SUFFERING AS ADVISED BY VETERNARIANS. AS A RESULT, THE ORGANIZATION GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP CATS AND KITTENS THROUGH REALLY HARD SURGERIES, TRIAL TREATMENTS, AND OTHER PROCEDURES THAT OTHER RESCUES AND SHELTERS DO NOT DO (FIP TREATMENT, PDA SURGERY, ETC.).
