THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE TAOS, NM AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS THROUGH SPORTS AND RECREATION TOURISM. THIS GOAL IS ACHIEVED BY HOSTING ATHLETIC COMPETITIONS AND HIGH ALTITUDE TRAINING. THE TYPES OF COMPETITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, SOCCER MATCHES, HOCKEY TOURNAMENTS, RUNNING, MULTI-SPORTS AND DISC GOLF EVENTS. THE TAOS SPORTS ALLIANCE ACTS AS AN INTERMEDIARY BETWEEN OUT-OF-AREA PROMOTERS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES AND LOCAL BUSINESSES.
