COMPLETED PURCHASE OF BALD HILL SUMMIT, A 58.31 ACRE HILLTOP PARCEL IN ROSS, CALIFORNIA, CONTIGUOUS WITH THE EXISTING BALD HILL OPEN SPACE PRESERVE WHICH IS HELD BY THE COUNTY OF MARIN. THE COUNTY AND COMMUNITIES OF ROSS AND SAN ANSELMO, CALIFORNIA ALSO PARTICIPATED IN THE PURCHASE. THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN A PRIORITY FOR OPEN SPACE ACQUISITION BY THE COUNTY AND THE NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES FOR ABOUT FOUR DECADES.


CONTINUED TO MONITOR THREE CONSERVATION EASEMENTS AND HAD SOME OFFICE EXPENSES


CONTINUED FUNDRAISING TOWARD ACQUISITION OF A 9.6 ACRE UPSLOPE PARCEL IN SAN ANSELMO, CALIFORNIA THAT IS CONTIGUOUS WITH THE EXISTING 22 ACRE SAN ANSELMO HAWTHORNE CANYON OPEN SPACE PRESERVE. IF ACQUIRED, THE PARCEL WOULD BECOME PART OF THE PRESERVE.


INITIATED AN EFFORT TO PURCHASE 100 ACRES OF UNDEVELOPED LAND IN FAIRFAX, CALIFORNIA THAT THE TOWN OF FAIRFAX WANTS TO PRESERVE AS OPEN SPACE AND FOR PUBLIC RECREATION. A 10 YEAR EFFORT TO DEVELOP THE PROPERTY HAD FAILED, WITH THE PROPERTY GOING ON THE OPEN MARKET IN 2023. THE PROPERTY HAS STEEP HILLSIDES AND MAJOR EXPANSES OF OAK AND BAY WOODLAND, AND HAS HISTORIC TRAILS THAT LINK WITH AN EXISTING PUBLIC TRAIL NETWORK.
