TO VOLUNTARILY ACT AS A RESOURCE THAT PROMOTES THE INCLUSION OF WOMEN, RACIAL AND ETHNIC MINORITIES AND SERVICE DISABLED VETERANS, AND OTHER ORGANIZED GROUPS THAT ADD TO THE DIVERSITY OF THE COUNCIL IN UTILITY CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, PHILANTHROPY, EMPLOYMENT, PROCUREMENT, LANGUAGE ACCESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE; AND, TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY IN THE FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT THAT PERFORM RELATED REGULATORY TASKS WITH THE UTILITY COMPANIES.

DIVERSITY CONFERENCE & RECEPTIONS - ANNUAL NATIONAL CONFERENCE BRINGS TOGETHER LEADERS TO DISCUSS CURRENT STATE OF DIVERSITY, BOTH WORKFORCE AND SUPPLIER DIVERSITY; EXPLORATION OF TRENDS AND ACTIVITIES TO ENCOURAGE DIVERSITY. RECEPTIONS ARE INDEPENDENT EVENTS, THAT INVITE DIVERSITY LEADERS FROM REGULATION, CORPORATION, SMALL BUSINESS AND ASSOCIATIONS TO COME TOGETHER IN A SMALLER GROUP TO EXPLORE ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMATIC ACTIVITIES TO INVIGORATE DIVERSITY.


WEB TOOLKIT AND WEBINARS - ON-LINE WEB TOOLS THAT DISSEMINATE INFORMATION AND PROVIDES ON-GOING EDUCATION TO AID IN STRENGTHENING DIVERSITY EFFORTS. THESE TOOLS ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC FREE OF CHARGE.


PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, RESEARCH, AND ADVOCACY - TRAVEL, PLUS ANY APPLICABLE CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEES, FOR THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, BOARD MEMBERS (WHO ARE SPEAKERS), AND OTHER KEY CONSTITUENTS TO ATTEND NATIONAL MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES TO REPRESENT NUDC PROGRAMMATIC EFFORTS AND TO BRING AWARENESS OF NUDC PROGRAMS TO KEY UTILITY PROVIDERS. RESEARCH (THROUGH PAID CONSULTANTS) TO DEVELOP CONCEPTS AND INFORMATION FOR DEPLOYMENT ACROSS WEB AND CONFERENCE RELATED OUTWARD FACING COMMUNICATIONS.
