OVER 3,500 PEOPLE HAVE BENEFITED FROM THE SERVICES PROVIDED. HYPERSTREAM IS A GRASSROOTS INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN TARGETED TO STUDENTS IN GRADES 8-12, TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS AND PARENTS ABOUT IOWA'S TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY AND ITS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. IT IS A PROGRAM TO DEVELOP LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN IOWA TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZATIONS AND SCHOOLS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE TREMENDOUS ARRAY OF HIGH-TECH CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE STATE. THIS IS NOT A CAREER DAY PRESENTATION, BUT AN ONGOING PARTNERSHIP IN BUILDING SYNERGY BETWEEN BUSINESS AND EDUCATION, WHERE MEMBER FIRMS SERVE AS AMBASSADORS AND MENTORS TO THE SCHOOLS. THIS PROGRAM WAS DEVELOPED TO REVERSE THE TREND OF DECLINING ENROLLMENT AT POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH CURRICULUMS AND THE SEVERE SHORTAGE OF QUALIFIED TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONALS IN IOWA. IT HAS BEEN INTRODUCED TO OVER 40 SCHOOLS ACROSS THE STATE OF IOWA.
