SUPPORT GUNNISON VALLEY HEALTH IN DELIVERING QUALITY CARE IN GUNNISON COUNTY & SURROUNDING AREAS.

IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES, TEDDY BEARS FOR PEDIATRIC PATIENTS THROUGHOUT THE HEALTH SYSTEM, BABY BASKETS FOR NEW MOTHERS IN THE FAMILY BIRTH CENTER, FUNDING FOR CONCUSSION TESTING FOR LOCAL ATHLETES, SUPPLIES FOR HOSPICE BEREAVEMENT GROUPS, COMPUTERS AND COMMUNICATION DEVICES FOR HOSPICE/HOME HEALTH STAFF, INTEGRATIVE THERAPY SERVICES FOR SENIORS, NURSING PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SENIOR CARE CENTER EMPLOYEES, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EMS EMPLOYEES AND FUNDING FOR CAPITAL NEEDS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HEALTH SYSTEM. IN 2021 GUNNISON VALLEY HEALTH FOUNDATION BEGAN A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TO FUND A NEW STATION FOR GUNNISON VALLEY HEALTH PARAMEDICS. FUNDS GIVEN TO GVH FOR THESE PROGRAMS AND MATERIALS WERE OBTAINED THROUGH FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, EVENTS AND GRANTS.


THE HIGH PEAKS EMPLOYEE CLUB IS AN ORGANIZATION IN WHICH EMPLOYEES DONATE A PORTION OF THEIR PAYCHECK TO THE CLUB. ALL PROCEEDS GO BACK TO ITEMS AND SERVICES FOR EMPLOYEES. IN 2021, FUNDS SUPPORTED AN EMERGENCY FUND FOR STAFF IN CRISIS AND OTHER STAFF SUPPORT.
