IN PERSON CLASSES AT BUEA HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED PERIODICALLY WHEN VIOLENT POLITICAL UNREST HAS RESULTED IN VIOLENCE AND DEATHS IN CAMEROON. INSPITE OF THIS, STAFF DEMONSTRATES COMMITMENT, ENROLLMENT CONTINUES TO BE SOUND, AND HIGH PERFORMING GRADUATES ARE ABLE TO ADVANCE TO UNIVERSITY ATTENDANCE BOTH IN CAMEROON AND ABROAD.

FOSD SUPPORTED THE SCHOOL BY PAYING SALARIES FOR THEIR GROWING STAFF FOR THE YEAR AND PROVIDING FUNDS TO SUPPLEMENT FOOD AND SUPPLIES FOR THE CHILDREN, AND TRANSPORTATION AND REPAIR COST FOR THE SCHOOL. ADDITIONAL FUNDS SUPPORTED TUTORS WHO ADDED TO THE EDUCATION OF OLDER STUDENT PARTICIPATIING IN CONTINUING EDUCATION IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR. WITH SUPPORT FROM FOBSC, BSD HAS ADAPTED TO THE CRITICAL POLITICAL CHALLENGES IN CAMEROON. CHILDREN HAVE RETURNED TO DESTROYED VILLAGES OR CONTINUE STUDIES WITH TEACHERS THROUGH WHAT'APP CONNECTIONS. IN CREDIT TO BSD, SOME GRADUATES HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED AND ARE DOING WELL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BUEA.
