DIRECT SERVICE INVESTIGATIONS - SERVICES PROVIDED TO LEGAL TEAMS FOR CAPITAL DEFENSE, MENTAL HEALTH, AND SOCIAL HISTORY INVESTIGATIONS. THIS INCLUDES RECORD COLLECTION, STRATEGY, AND WITNESS INTERVIEWS FOR THE PURPOSES OF DOCUMENTING A MULTIGENERATIONAL, BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL HISTORY OF A CLIENT, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY.
CLIENT, FAMILY, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES - SERVICES PROVIDED TO SUPPORT, HEAL, AND BUILD RESILIENCE IN THE FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY DEATH PENALTY PROSECUTIONS. IN 2021, CRI SUPPORTED THE REENTRY OF FORMER CLIENTS, FACILITATED A HOTLINE FOR INCARCERATED PEOPLE TO FILE FOR CARES ACT PAYMENTS, SUPPORTED FAMILIES THROUGH CRISIS, AND DISTRIBUTED HOLIDAY GIFTS TO CHILDREN OF INCARCERATED PARENTS.
INTERNSHIPS AND EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES - PROGRAMMING DIRECTED AT EDUCATING STUDENTS, TRAINING COLLEAGUES, AND GENERATING AWARENESS ON THE UNITED STATES JUDICIAL SYSTEM AND DIRECT SERVICE BEST PRACTICES. IN 2021, CRI RAN A PAID SUMMER INTERNSHIP, PARTICIPATED IN COMMUNITY COALITIONS, AND BEGAN MEDIA PROJECTS AIMED AT DESTIGMATIZING MENTAL ILLNESS AND HUMANIZING INDIVIDUALS FACING EXTREME AND DISPARATE SENTENCING.
