PASS-THROUGH CONTRACT WITH COLORADO SEMINARY/UNIVERSITY OF DENVER: ADMINISTRATION ON CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILY (ACYF) CHILDREN'S BUREAU CAPACITY BUILDING CENTER FOR TRIBES PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO TITLE IV-B AND TITLE IV-E AMERICAN INDIAN AND ALASKA NATIVE NATIONS.


OFFICE OF JUVENILE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION (OJJDP) TRIBAL YOUTH RESOURCE CENTER PROVIDED A WIDE ARRAY OF TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP EXPAND TRIBES' POTENTIAL IN PROTECTING AND NURTURING TRIBAL YOUTH. PROVIDED REGIONAL TRAININGS, WEB-BASED TRAININGS, ONSITE TRAININGS, AND TELECONFERENCE CONSULTATIONS RANGING FROM COURT DEVELOPMENT, ASSESSING COMPLIANCE WITH OJJDP GRANT REQUIREMENTS, STRATEGIC PLANNING THROUGH SUSTAINABILITY, RESTORATIVE PRACTICES, YOUTH LEADERSHIP & EMPOWERMENT, PARENT ENGAGEMENT TO A WHOLE HOST OF ALL OTHER PROGRAMMATIC TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OFFERINGS.


BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE (BJA) TRIBAL COURT ASSISTANCE T/TA PROGRAM AND TRIBAL JUSTICE SYSTEM CAPACITY BUILDING T/TA PROGRAM: PROVIDED A WIDE ARRAY OF TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO TRIBES TO BUILD CAPACITY TO PLAN, DEVELOP, OR ENHANCE ALTERNATIVES TO INCARCERATION. ASSISTED TRIBAL JURISDICTIONS IN DEVELOPING TRIBAL ADULT, JUVENILE, FAMILY, DWI, AND/OR VETERAN'S HEALING TO WELLNESS COURTS (ALSO KNOWN AS "DRUG COURTS OR "WELLNESS COURTS"). PROVIDED T/TA TO STRENGTHEN EXISTING HEALING TO WELLNESS COURTS. PROVIDED FIELD WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON EFFECTIVE STRATEGIES FOR ADDRESSING SUBSTANCE-ABUSING OFFENDERS IN TRIBAL DRUG COURTS.

BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE (BJA) TRIBAL JUSTICE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ENHANCE TRIBAL-STATE COLLABORATIONS PROGRAM: PROVIDED TRAINING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPED RESOURCES FOR FEDERAL-TRIBAL-STATE-LOCAL INTERGOVERNMENTAL COLLABORATIONS. DEVELOPED, MAINTAINED AND UPDATED THE WALKING ON COMMON GROUND WEBSITE (WWW.WALKINGONCOMMONGROUND.ORG). PROVIDED RESOURCES ON TRIBAL LAW AND ORDER ACT (TLOA) AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT (VAWA). 2. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF JUSTICE (NIJ) TRIBAL-RESEARCHER CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT: HOOPA VALLEY TRIBE AND TRIBAL LAW AND POLICY INSTITUTE RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP AND NORTHWEST INDIAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER AND TRIBAL LAW AND POLICY INSTITUTE RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP.3. CASEY FAMILY PROGRAMS TRIBAL JUSTICE COLLABORATIVE PROJECT TO SUPPORT THE CONTINUATION AND EXPANSION OF A STATE COURT, TRIBAL COURT, STATE AND TRIBAL CHILD WELFARE COLLABORATIVE MODEL TO IMPROVE CHILD WELFARE PRACTICE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WITH THE CENTERPIECE BEING ICWA JUDGES' DINNER(S) WITH THE INTENT OF CREATING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STATE COURTS AND TRIBAL COURTS IN CHILD WELFARE MATTERS.4. PASS-THROUGH SUBAWARD WITH THE NATIONAL CONGRESS OF AMERICAN INDIANS (NCAI), OFFICE FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME (OVC), US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ) TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO DESIGN AND ADMINISTER A MICRO-GRANT PROGRAM TARGETING FEDERALLY-RECOGNIZED INDIAN TRIBES IN THE CONTINENTAL U.S. WHO HAVE NOT ACCESSED FUNDING FROM OVC IN RECENT YEARS, AS IDENTIFIED BY OVC.5. PASS-THROUGH SUBAWARD WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND NATIONAL QUALITY IMPROVEMENT CENTER ON FAMILY CENTERED REUNIFICATION, ADMINISTRATION ON CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES (ACF), CHILDREN'S BUREAU (CB) TO PROVIDE CONSULTATION AND SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE IN TRIBAL CHILD WELFARE SYSTEMS AND WILL LEAD THE READINESS WORK TO ENGAGE TRIBAL SITES IN APPLYING TO BE A DEMONSTRATION SITE WITH THE QICR.6. PASS-THROUGH SUBAWARD WITH NATIONAL CENTER FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME (NCVC), OFFICE OF VICTIMS OF CRIME (OVC), US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OVC TRIBAL RESOURCE MAPPING PROJECT. 7. PASS-THROUGH SUBAWARD WITH FOX VALLEY TECHNICAL COLLEGE (FTVC): OFFICE FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME (OVC), US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OVC AMERICAN INDIAN/ALASKA NATIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. 8. PASS-THROUGH SUBAWARD WITH JBS INTERNATIONAL: THE CENTER FOR NATIVE CHILD AND FAMILY RESILIENCE (THE CENTER) PROVIDED SERVICES TO TRIBAL COMMUNITIES THAT HONOR AND DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE OF CULTURALLY RELEVANT PRACTICE MODELS, INTERVENTIONS, AND SERVICES THAT CONTRIBUTE SUBSTANTIVELY TO CHILD MALTREATMENT PREVENTION EFFORTS AND FAMILY RESILIENCE IN INDIAN COUNTRY AND TO BUILD AN EVIDENCE-BASE OF TRIBAL CHILD WELFARE KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE THROUGH EVALUATION AND TRANSFER THE KNOWLEDGE GAINED FROM THE PROJECT, TO THE FIELD. 9.
