JUVENILE DETENTION CENTERS AND ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMS IS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION DEDICTED TO SUPPORTING ITS MEMBERS BY PROMOTING SOUND POLICIES, ADVANCING BEST PROACTICE STANDARDS, EDUCATING AND TRAINING, INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN JUVENILE DETENTION AND ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMS, MAINTAINING A CONTINUOUS LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THE JUVENILE SYSTEM, AND BEING LEADERS IN THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM THROUGH THE PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE.

CONFERENCES AND TRAINING OF PROFESSIONALS AND ADMINISTRATORS WORKING IN THE FIELD OF JUVENILE DETENTION AND ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMS. EACH YEAR, PENNSYLVANIA PARTNERSHIP FOR JUVENILE SERVICES (PPJS) HOSTS A CONFERENCE WHICH IS OPEN TO MEMBERS AND PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF JUVENILE JUSTICE SERVICE DELIVERY.


OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS PPJS HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN A PROJECT TO CREATE A UNIFIED CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR USE BY COUNTY MEMBERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS THAT MANAGES THEIR JAIL, ADULT PROBATION, AND DISTRICT ATTORNEY DATA.


GENERAL PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSES RELATED TO FUNDING THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE ORGANIZATION. THIS INCLUDES A PORTION OF CCAP AFFILIATE FEES WHICH COVERS COSTS FOR EMPMLOYEES, EMPLOYEE BENEFITS, BOARD AND STAFF EXPENSES, PRINTING, AND POSTAGE.
