THE JEWISH COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF ERIE IS A COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION SERVING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN THE ERIE AREA WITH A WIDE RANGE OF SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, AS WELL AS CAPACITY-BUILDING SUPPORT TO OTHER COMMUNITY-BASED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.

PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT AND ENRICH LIVES OF SENIOR CITIZENS LIVING IN THE ERIE PENNSYLVANIA COMMUNITY.
PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY EDUCATION. FURTHERMORE, THE JEWISH COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF ERIE CREATED AND ADMINISTERS THE HOLOCAUST EDUCATION BUS FUND.THIS FUND, PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION TO THE UNITED STATES HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM IN WASHINGTON, D.C., FOR QUALIFYING SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM ERIE AND NORTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA.THESE TRIPS ARE INTENDED TO BE PART OF SECONDARY SCHOOL COURSES OR PROGRAMS THAT, AMONG OTHER GOALS, INSTRUCT PARTICIPANTS ON THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HOLOCAUST IN JEWISH AND WORLD HISTORY, AND CONVEY THE RELEVANCE OF THE STRUGGLE OF HUMAN RIGHTS BY PEOPLES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.SINCE 2005, WE HAVE SPONSORED ABOUT 4,000 STUDENTS AND 350 TEACHERS/CHAPERONES.
