RACES - TO FURTHER ITS MISSION IN PROMOTING RACING AS A COMPETITIVE SPORT OR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY, MINNESOTA DISTANCE RUNNING ASSOCIATION HOLDS RACES AND WORKS COOPERATIVELY TO PUBLICIZE THE RACING INITIATIVES OF 300 OTHER MINNESOTA-BASED RACE ORGANIZATIONS. THE ASSOCIATION STRIVES TO PROVIDE RUNNERS ACROSS MINNESOTA WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN RACES FOR A VERY LOW COST OR FREE OF CHARGE SO THAT INCOME IS NOT A BARRIER TO RACE PARTICIPATION.
THE ASSOCIATION ALSO CONDUCTS SMALLER INITIATIVES INCLUDING A RACINGEQUIPMENT RENTAL PROGRAM, A MERCHANDISING PROGRAM TO PROVIDE RUNNERSWITH BRANDED RUNNING GEAR.
