YOUTH THEATRE INTERACTIONS INC (YTI) PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTION IN THE PERFORMING ARTS OF DANCE,DRAMA AND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC TO WESTCHESTER COUNTY YOUTH. YTI NUTURES CREATIVITY AND FOSTERS DISCIPLINE, CONFIDENCE AND CRITICAL THINKING IN YOUNG PEOPLE.

YOUTH THEATRE INTERACTIONS INC(YTI) PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAM SERVES APPROXIMATELY 500 CHILDREN, AGES 6 TO 19, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WITH A FULL PROGRAM THAT RUNS ALL 12 MONTHS OF THE YEAR, YTI OFFERS A VARIETY OF CLASSES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BALLET, TAP, WEST AFRICAN DANCE, THEATRE JAZZ, LATIN DANCE, HIP HOP, DRAMA, VOCAL, KEYBOARD, GUITAR AND STEEL BAND.IN 2020, THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS SERVED WAS DRAMATICALLY REDUCED DUE TO COVID-19. IN RESPONSE, YTI MODIFIED ITS PROGRAMMING TO INCLUDE VIRTUAL INSTRUCTIONS AND EXPANDED THE COURSES OFFERED TO INCLUDE PLAYWRITING, RHYMING(PERFORMANCE POETRY)AND ACTING. THEY CREATED A DIGITAL LIBRARY OF COURSES WHICH IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY.
YOUTH THEATRE INTERACTIONS INC(YTI) OUTREACH PROGRAM IS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN YTI AND A NUMBER OF OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. YTI PROVIDES PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES IN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF YONKERS TO OVER 1000 INDIVIDUALS WHOSE AGES RANGE FROM SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN TO SENIOR CITIZENS.YTI CONTINUES TO WORK DILIGENTLY TO MAINTAIN AND EXPAND THEIR AFFILIATIONS AND BOLSTER THEIR VISIBILITY IN THE YONKERS AND WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY THROUGH INCREASED PARTNERSHIPS.
