AS STATED IN ITS ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION AND ITS FORM 1024 - APPLICATION FOR RECOGNITION OF EXEMPTION UNDER SECTION 501(A), THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB ARE TO RECOGNIZE THAT THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER IS A GUN DOG AND TO ENCOURAGE THE MEMBERS TO PERFECT, BY SELECTIVE BREEDING, GOLDEN RETRIEVERS THAT POSSESS THE APPEARANCE, SOUNDNESS, TEMPERAMENT, NATURAL ABILITY AND PERSONAILITY THAT IS REFLECTED IN THE STANDARD OF THE BREED, AND TO DO ALL POSSIBLE TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE THE PERFECTION OF THESE QUALITIES; TO URGE MEMBERS AND BREEDERS TO ACCEPT THE STANDARD OF THE BREED AS APPROVED BY THE AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB AS THE ONLY STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE BY WHICH THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER SHALL BE JUDGED; TO DO ALL IN ITS POWER TO PROTECT AND ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF THE BREED BY PROMOTING RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP OF GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND ENCOURAGE SPORTMSMANLIKE COMPETITION AT COMPETITIVE AND PERFORMANCE EVENTS; TO ENCOURAGE AND CONDUCT SANCTIONED MATCHES, SPECIALTY SHOWS, FIELD TRIALS, OBEDIENCE TRIALS AND T

DISTRIBUTION OF THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER NEWS PUBLICATION.


ANNUAL GRCA NATIONAL: THE ANNUAL GRCA NATIONAL IS NOT NEW - IT'S BEEN HELD FOR YEARS. WHAT'S NEW IS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EVENT AND RUNS THE FINANCIAL RISKS. IN THE PAST A MEMBER CLUB HAS PUT IN A BID TO HOLD THE NATIONAL ON BEHALF OF GRCA. BEGINNING IN 2023 GRCA WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EVENT BUT WILL STILL HAVE A LOT OF VOLUNTEERS FROM LOCAL MEMBER CLUB. IN THE PAST GRCA WOULD PROVIDE INTEREST FREE LOANS TO THE HOST CLUBS AND RECEIVED 20% OF THE NET PROFIT OR REIMBURSED THE HOST CLUB 20% OF THE LOSSES (LOSSES DIDN'T OCCUR OFTEN). BEGINNING WITH THE 2023 NATIONAL GRCA IS 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FINANCIAL RESULTS.


ON-LINE STORE: TO PROMOTE A FEELING OF UNITY DERIVED FROM SHARING A COMMON INTEREST IN DEVELOPING THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AS DESCRIBED IN OUR BREED STANDARD. IN ADDITION, THE STORE IS USED AS A TOOL FOR MEMBERS TO REGISTER FOR HEALTH CLINICS, SIGN-UP FOR SOCIAL EVENTS AND FOR CLUBS AND INDIVIDUALS TO SPONOR TROPHIES AND INFORMATION BANNERS AT THE ANNUAL GRCA NATIONAL.


COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES WHICH INCLUDE THE PRODUCTION OF GOLDEN RETRIEVER DOG EVENTS AND HEALTH CLINICS THAT COLLECT SAMPLES USED BY VARIOUS UNIVERSITY'S FOR RESEARCH. CLUB OPERATIONS WHICH INCLUDES EDUCATING MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT BREEDING OF QUALITY PUREBRED GOLDEN RETRIEVERS.
