HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, SERVICES TO YOUTH AND THE ARTS FACETS PROVIDED FUNDS AND THEY ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN WORKING WITH THE HOMELESS POPULATIONS OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH, POWER OF TWO, THE LAKEWOOD KNIGHTS LIONS, AND THE TACOMA RESCUE MISSION BY PROVIDING FOOD, MEALS, DIAPERS, PERSONAL ITEMS, INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS, CLOTHING AND HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS.


13 HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WERE AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP TO COLLEGE TO ASSIST THEM IN THEIR EDUCATIONAL PURSUITS. ONE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WAS AWARDED MENTORSHIP IN THE PALMER SCHOLARS PROGRAM.


66 UNIFORMS WERE PURCHASED FOR YOUNG GIRLS IN AFRICA THROUGH THE "I CAN FLY" PROGRAM TO ALLOW THEM TO ATTEND SCHOOL IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. WE ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO THE TUITION OF ONE STUDENT. THIS PROGRAM KEEPS GIRLS SAFE AND WILL ENABLE THEM TO ATTEND SCHOOL.
