GRANTS AND CONTRACTS: SHEEO RECEIVES FUNDS FROM GRANTING AGENCIES TO PERFORM DESCRIBED WORK IN HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2022, SHEEO RECEIVED GRANTS FROM LUMINA FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF ADULT PROMISE AND EQUITY INITIATIVES. SHEEO RECEIVED FUNDING FROM THE BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION FOR CREATING AWARENESS OF LONGITUDINAL DATA, TO CREATE DATA COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE, AND TO INCREASE THE CAPACITY OF SHEEOS WORK WITH STATES. ARNOLD FOUNDATION PROVIDED GRANTS FOR WORK RELATED TO STATE AUTHORIZATION AND COLLEGE CLOSURES. ECMC FOUNDATION PROVIDED ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR PROJECTS ON COLLEGE ATTAINMENT AND TRANSFER STANDARDS.


CONFERENCES - SHEEO PRESENTS ANNUAL CONFERENCES FOR SHEEO MEMBERS AND OTHER STATE AND NATIONAL LEADERS OF HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY:1) SHEEO ANNUAL MEETING, TAILORED ESPECIALLY FOR THE CEO'S OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE STATES2) SHEEO HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY CONFERENCE, A POLICY AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE BRINGING TOGETHER OVER 350 STATE EXECUTIVE OFFICERS, ACADEMIC OFFICERS, FINANCE OFFICERS, GOVERNMENT RELATIONS/COMMUNICATIONS OFFICERS, CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICERS, AND OTHERS WORKING IN HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY POSITIONS. AND CREATION OF THE STATE HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE ANNUAL SURVEY AND REPORT.


PROJECT ACTIVITY: PLANNED AND AD HOC RESEARCH ON HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY TO SUPPORT SHEEO MEMEBERS' ACTIVITIES IN THE STATES. THIS INCLUDES TRAVEL EXPENSES TO ATTEND NATIONAL MEETINGS AND SALARIES TO SHEEO STAFF MEMBERS WORKING ON HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY.
