HEBREW SCHOOL INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: THIS PROGRAM OFFERS AFTER SCHOOL SUPPLEMENTAL HEBREW EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN GRADES 3-6. STUDENTS LEARN BOTH SIDDUR (PRAYER-BOOK) HEBREW AND MODERN HEBREW LANGUAGE. THE STUDENTS ALSO RECEIVE PRIVATE TUTORING IN PREPARATION FOR THEIR BAT/BAR MITZVAH SERVICES.

ALL OF THE BJE EDUCATION PROGRAMS ARE RUN IN COOPERATION WITH OUR LOCAL SYNAGOGUE PARTNERS, STUDENTS WHO LIVE TOO FAR AWAY TO ATTEND IN PERSON MAY PARTICIPATE VIA THE BJE DISTANCE LEARNING PLATFORM.
HOLOCAUST EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE: THE BJE PROVIDES TEACHER TRAINING TO TEACHERS IN BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF INDIANA TO HELP ENSURE THAT THE HOLOCAUST IS TAUGHT APPROPRIATELY AND ACCURATELY. EACH YEAR TEACHERS HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO ATTEND IN PERSON AND DISTANCE LEARNING SEMINARS TO ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE. THE BJE ALSO PROVIDES A HOLOCAUST TRUNK PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS TO REQUEST SUPPORTING MATERIALS TO THEIR LESSONS AND A HOLOCAUST SPEAKERS' BUREAU.
