THE ASSOCIATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE STUDY OF ALLERGY, CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY, ASTHMA, AND RELATED DISORDERS AND TO DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE AMONG PROFESSIONALS AND THE LAY PUBLIC.

EDUCATION: THE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES AND ENCOURAGES THE STUDY OF ALLERGY/ASTHMA IMMUNOLOGY AND DISSEMINATES KNOWLEDGE AMONG PROFESSIONALS AND THE PUBLIC. IN 2021, PAAA CONDUCTED A VIRTUAL ANNUAL MEETING AND SEVEN VIRTUAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS, ONE OF WHICH PROVIDED CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDITS. SERIES DREW 5 - 10 ATTENDEES AT EACH PROGRAM.


REPRESENTATION/ADVOCACY: THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR PATIENTS THROUGH REPRESENTATION IN THE STATE MEDICAL SOCIETYS SPECIALTY LEADERSHIP CABINET AND HOUSE OF DELEGATES AS WELL AS MEDICARES CARRIER ADVISORY COMMITTEE.


MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS: THE ASSOCIATION HAS AN UP-TO-DATE WEBSITE THAT CONTAINS TOOLS AND RESOURCES FOR JOINING THE ASSOCIATION, ATTENDING THE ANNUAL MEETING AND ALLERGY/IMMUNOLOGY RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.
