THE KELLY ANNE DOLAN MEMORIAL FUND LIGHTENS THE BURDENS AND LIFTS THE SPIRITS OF FAMILIES CARING FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH SERIOUS AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES, CONDITIONS, OR INJURIES.

THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM COVERS BASIC NEEDS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE IN THE FORM OF BILL PAY FOR FAMILIES. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2023, THE DOLAN FUND PROVIDED $128,101 IN CASH AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO 381 FAMILIES WITH A SERIOUSLY ILL OR DISABLED CHILD, TO PAY ESSENTIAL EXPENSES NOT COVERED BY MEDICAL INSURANCE. BY LIGHTENING THE FINANCIAL BURDENS FOR THESE FAMILIES, WE HELPED IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES EXPERIENCE BY THE CHILDREN.


NON CASH AND INKIND ITEMS, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS TO FAMILIESWE PROVIDED 21 FAMILIES WITH THANKSGIVING DAY BASKETS TO FAMILIES CARING FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH SERIOUS AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES, CONDITIONS, OR INJURIES. WE ALLEVIATED THE EMOTIONAL BURDENS OF 243 FAMILIES THROUGH OUR HOLIDAY ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM LAST YEAR. OUR PROGRAM GAVE THESE FAMILIES A VERY SPECIAL CELEBRATION, ALLEVIATING STRESS AND CREATING TREMENDOUS JOY. THEY RECEIVED IN-KIND GIFTS VALUED AT $27,935. WE PROVIDED $9850.00 IN DONATED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO FAMILIES IN NEED.


RESPITE PROGRAMS, FAMILY FUN DAY, AND VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPSFOUR VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS FOR CAREGIVERS FOR FAMILIES CARING FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH SERIOUS AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES, CONDITIONS, OR INJURIES. THE GROUPS WERE HELD OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR. THESE GROUPS WERE HELD TO PROVIDE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, EDUCATION, AND ADVOCACY. THE DOLAN FUND BROUGHT BACK OUR FAMILY FUN DAY ON THE SPIRIT OF PHILADELPHIA FOR FAMILIES; 13 FAMILIES ENJOYED A SUNDAY BRUNCH CRUISE VALUED AT $13,343 AS WELL AS AN AFTERNOON AT THE CIRCUS. KOLBE BAGS AND SENSORY BOXES WERE DISTRIBUTED TO FAMILIES TO EASE THE STRAIN OF HOSPITAL STAYS IN THE AMOUNT OF $5875.
