METROACTION, INC. ("METROACTION") IS A CERTIFIED DEVELOPMENT NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION AND SERVES AS THE GREATER SCRANTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ARM. METROACTION IS ALSO AN INTERMEDIARY AND RESOURCE CENTER FOR SEVERAL SMALL BUSINESS FINANCING PROGRAMS. DURING FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2023, THE ORGANIZATION AIDED COMMUNITY BUSINESSES WITH THE FOLLOWING LOAN PROGRAMS: 4 NEW LOANS FROM THE SMALL BUSINESS LOAN PROGRAM TOTALLING $215,000, RETAINING OR CREATING 29 JOBS; 14 NEW LOANS FROM THE LUZERNE COUNTY LOAN PROGRAM TOTALING $916,000, RETAINING OR CREATING 179 JOBS; AND 43 NEW LOANS FROM THE LACKWANNA COUNTY COVID RECOVERY LOAN PROGRAM TOTALLING $848,000, RETAINING OR CREATING 254 JOBS.
