THE ORGANIZATION MATCHES QUALIFIED VOLUNTEER ADULT MENTORS WITH CHILDREN FACING ADVERSITY TO PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND FRIENDSHIP TO THOSE CHILDREN. THE RESULTING ONE-TO-ONE RELATIONSHIPS ARE PROFESSIONALLY SUPERVISED AND SUPPORTED BY AGENCY STAFF THROUGH COUNSELING, ACTIVITIES, TRAINING, AND SUPPORT SESSIONS.

THE ORGANIZATION SERVES CHILDREN IN A ONE-TO-ONE MENTORING RELATIONSHIP. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE CHILDREN FACING ADVERSITY WITH A COMPETENT CARING ADULT MENTOR TO SPEND ONE-TO-ONE TIME TOGETHER AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH FOR A YEAR. AVERAGE MATCH LENGTH EXCEEDS 3 YEARS. SERVICES INCLUDE RECRUITMENT, ASSESSMENT, MAINTENANCE OF A WAITING LIST, VOLUNTEER TRAINING, MATCH SUPPORT, AND SCHOOL BASED SERVICES.
