MISSOURI FOOD BANK ASSOCIATION (MFBA) D/B/A FEEDING MISSOURI PROVIDES HUNGER RELIEF IN THE STATE OF MISSOURI THROUGH PROVIDING SUPPORT TO AND PROMOTING AWARENESS OF MEMBER FOOD BANKS THROUGH COMMUNICATION, COLLABORATION, AND ADVOCACY. FEEDING MISSOURI BUILDS AWARENESS OF FOOD INSECURITY IN MISSOURI AS WELL AS THE NETWORK THAT EXISTS TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM THROUGH MULTI-CHANNEL COMMUNICATION, INCLUDING SOCIAL MEDIA, TRADITIONAL MEDIA, OUTREACH, AND MASS COMMUNICATION. FEEDING MISSOURI ADVOCATES AND EDUCATES LEADERS ABOUT THE ISSUE OF HUNGER IN MISSOURI THROUGH DIRECT CONTACT AND MAIL PIECES. FEEDING MISSOURI SUPPORTS ITS MEMBERS BY SERVING AS A CATALYST FOR BRINGING TOGETHER PROFESSIONALS FROM EVERY LEVEL OF THE MEMBER FOOD BANKS TO COLLABORATE AND COLLECTIVELY PURSUE OPPORTUNITIES. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR MASS DISASTER RELIEF ACTIVITY THROUGH MISSOURI'S SIX FOOD BANKS. THIS INCLUDES THE ACCUMULATION OF DATA CONCERNING AVAILABLE RESOURCES OF FOOD AND PERSONNEL. FEEDING MISSOURI SERVES AS THE SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT BETWEEN THE STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY AND MEMBER FOOD BANKS.
