EDUCATION - THE ASSOCIATION SPONSORS VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, MEETINGS AND TRADE SHOWS DURING THE YEAR WITH ATTENDANCE RANGING FROM 25 FOR SMALL TRAINING SESSIONS TO OVER 400 FOR THE TRADE SHOWS.


PROMOTION - THE BIENNIAL FLOWER SHOW INCREASES PUBLIC AWARENESS OF HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND THE SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THEM, AS WELL AS, NEW RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITY. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO SPONSORS AND ADMINISTERS THE "VERMONT CERTIFIED HORTICULTURALIST" PROGRAM, A VOLUNTARY CERTIFICATION DESIGNATION FOR INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS.


RESEARCH - THE ASSOCIATION SPONSORS AND REPORTS UPON RESEARCH WHICH DIRECTLY BENEFITS THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE.


PROFESSIONALISM & COMMUNICATION - THE ASSOCIATION PUBLISHES A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER "THE DIRT AND ANNUAL REPORT TO KEEP MEMBERS INFORMED OF EVENTS AND DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN THE HORTICULTURAL AND AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITY. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO WORKS WITH THE STATE TO PROMOTE "VT GROWN" AGRICULTURAL & HORTICULTURE PRODUCTS.
