MEALS ON WHEELS OF NEW CANAAN PROVIDES NOURISHING MEALS FIVE DAYS A WEEK TO ELIGIBLE CITIZENS OF NEW CANAAN, CONNECTICUT SO THAT THEY MAY CONTINUE LIVING INDEPENDENTLY AND MAINTAIN THEIR OWN HOUSEHOLDS. MEALS ARE PLANNED AND PREPARED BY A PROFESSIONAL CHEF AND THE WAVENY CARE CENTER DIETARY DEPARTMENT STAFF. DURING THE LAST FISCAL YEAR MOW-NC'S 250 VOLUNTEERS DELIVERED OVER 16,OOO MEALS TO AN AVERAGE OF 47 FULLY OR PARTIALLY SUBSIDIZED RESIDENTS IN THE NEW CANAAN COMMUNITY.
