TO PROVIDE A CONTINUOUS PROGRAM FOR THE SELECTION AND TRAINING OF APPRENTICES AND THE RETRAINING OR REFRESHER TRAINING OF JOURNEYMEN IN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF THE PAINTING AND ALLIED TRADES. THE TRAINING OF EACH APPRENTICE SHALL PROVIDE THE EXPERIENCE AND SCHOOLING NECESSARY TO DEVELOP A PRACTICAL AND SKILLED MECHANIC VESTED IN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF THE WORK SET FORTH IN THE JURISDICTIONAL PROVISIONS OF THE RELEVANT COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS. FOR JOURNEYMEN THE FUND IS DESIGNED TO ENABLE THEM TO FURTHER QUALIFY IN THE FINER ASPECTS OF THE USE AND APPLICATION OF PRESENT AND FUTURE MATERIALS OF THE VARIOUS TRADES.
