ASSIST THE BLIND, VISUALLY IMPAIRED AND DISABLED OF THE GREATER DELAWARE VALLEY TO PREPARE AND OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE.

LAWN MAINTENANCE & SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES CBD EMPLOYS DISABLED LABOR TO FULFILL CONTRACTS FOR LAWN MAINTENANCE & SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES AT REST AREAS. THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA HAS DETERMINED THAT ALL LAWN MAINTENANCE SERVICES PROVIDED UNDER A REST AREA CONTRACT MUST BE PERFORMED BY BLIND OR DISABLED PERSONNEL. THE LABOR IS PERFORMED BY CBD AND BILLED TO KEYSTONE BLIND ASSOC. FOR CONTRACTS WITH THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. 21 INDIVIDUALS WERE EMPLOYED DURING 2021, INCLUDING 10 WHO WERE DISABLED.


JANITORIAL SERVICES THE CENTER HAS A CONTRACT THROUGH UNIQUE SOURCE AS A SUBCONTRACTOR TO PERFORM JANITORIAL SERVICES AT CHEYNEY UNIVERSITY. 17 INDIVIDUALS WERE EMPLOYED DURING 2021, INCLUDING 14 WHO WERE DISABLED.


PHOTO LICENSE CENTERS; PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT FOR PERSONS WITH A QUALIFYING DISABILITY UNDER THE TERMS OF ACT 57. THESE POSITIONS ARE PHOTO LICENSE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AT SELECT PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION LICENSING CENTERS. A TOTAL OF 23 INDIVIDUALS WERE EMPLOYED DURING 2021, INCLUDING 23 WHO WERE DISABLED.
