TPC IS A WELL-ESTABLISHED, WEB-BASED ORGANIZATION OPERATED BY A DIVERSE TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS REPRESENTING PATIENTS, CAREGIVERS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, ACADEMICS, RESEARCHERS AND ADVOCATES. WE BELIEVE THAT OUR TEAM OF VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS REFLECTS DIVERSITY OF PERSPECTIVE AND EXPERTISE WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING IN, AND NAVIGATING THROUGH, THE COMPLEXITIES OF PAIN (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O, STATEMENT 1)

THE WEBSITE PAINCOMMUNITY.ORG SAW AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF VISITORS OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR. DEVELOPMENT OF WEBSITE CONTENT AND ACTIVITIES RELATED TO MONDERATING THE INTERACTIVE SECTIONS OF THE WEBSITE IS PERFORMED BY VOLUNTEERS. VOLUNTEERS REPRESENT THE ORGANIZATION AS COLLABORATORS FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS AND EDUCATION. EXPENSES RELATED TO ALL ACTIVITIES IN THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCUMPLISHMENT INCLUDE WEBSITE HOSTING, INTERNET SOFTWARE SERVICES, AND A CONSULTANT SOCIAL WORKER ENGAGED TO PERIODICALLY MONITOR AND MODERATE POSTS IN THE DISCUSSION FORUM.
THE ORGANIZATION ENGAGED IN PUBLIC AWARENESS AND EDUCATION EFFORTS THROUGH MESSAGING SHARED ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION'S SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS AND THROUGH THE TPC PAIN COLLEGE SECTION OF THE WEBSITE. THROUGH THE EDUCATION AREA OF THE WEBSITE, THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINED AN INTERACTIVE WEBINAR IN ASSOCIATION WITH EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE TO LEARN HOW EXPRESSIVE ART AND MUSIC CAN BE A THERAPEUTIC OPTION FOR HELP WITH LIVING WITH PAIN. EXPENSES FOR THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT ARE A SHARE OF THE OPERATING EXPENSES FOR COMPUTER HOSTING AND SOFTWARE PLUS A STIPEND PAYMENT TO MENTAL HEALTH THERAPISTS WHO SERVED AS THE ART AND MUSIC FACILITATORS IN THE VIDEO MODULES."
THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED THE FISCAL SPONSORSHIP OF THE ALLIANCE TO ADVANCE COMPREHENSIVE INTEGRATIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT (AACIPM). AACIPM CONVENED WORKING MEETINGS WITH KEY THOUGHT LEADERS AND DECISION MAKERS TO CREATE CONTENT AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO ADDRESS ACCESS TO QUALITY COMPREHENSIVE CARE. AACIPM CONTINUED TO EXPAND THE NETWORK OF ENGAGED STAKEHOLDERS INTERESTED IN DEFINING AND ACTIVATING A QUALITY INTEGRATED PAIN CARE POLICY AND PRACTICE PARADIGM SHIFT. AACIPM COLLABORATED WITH STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PRESENTATION OF VIRTUAL EDUCATION AND DISCUSSION MEETINGS IN 2021.
